Etherchannel not Supporting on 7600-SIP 400

HI,

I am in very great dilemma.I have 1 Gbps link from my service provider.I am running BGP to establish the connectivity with service provider PE.

Just to brief you , I have redundant links on 2 -Cisco 3750 ( Primary link & secondary )connecting to service provider side and there are 4 routers for 2 services ( Primary and secondary each for 2 services)now the utilization on applications of  services -1 has increases and  reaches 900~950 Mbps, not to impact services-2 ,I 've  driven the traffic of services-2 through secondary link.I have attached ppt for some undestanding

Till few weeks back the utilization was around 750 Mbps in input direction and 700 Mbps in output direction of WAN  port on service 1 routers but now the input utilization has started reaching 900~950 Mbps in input direction.

I have 7600-SIP 400 ( sub slot- 5XGE-SPA) on routers [For Qos services ] with are connected to switches.I have discussion with service provider and they said that They would provide be one more think and so that I thought of doing first 2- ports aggregation between Service provider device & 3750 switch and another 2-port aggregation between 3750 switch & services -1 (Cisco7606) router.

There is no issue to create ports aggregation betn Service provider device & 3750 switch. It's not happening between 3750 switch & services -1 (Cisco7606) router because as per Cisco document port aggregation  is not supported on 7600-SIP 400.

It takes time for service provider to provide 10 gig port .I have WS-X6548-GE-TX module on services -1 (Cisco7606) router. So I thought connecting router WS-X6548-GE-TX ports of router with switch and  create port channel between Them. But I am wondering how would QOS feature can be used.

So  I need an advice whether WS-X6548-GE-TX ports support QOS with Etherchannel.

Your  advice will be appreciated

The 3750 is a layer 3 switch.  Could you change the design to allow layer 3 links through to it?

What about getting a 10Gbe module for the 3750 and your 7600(s)?

The release notes for 12.2(17b)SXA seem to indicate Etherchannel support.

Support for more than 1 Gbps of traffic per EtherChannel on the WS-X6548-GE-TX and WS-X6548V-GE-TX switching modules

Hi Philip ,

WS-X6548-GE-TX supports Ether channel but my concern is how can I use this  module for Qos feature.

Why not just create two layer 3 connections between the 7600 and the 3750's and let BGP load balance?

HI Philip , My layer 3 connections are with service provider .3750 is used as Layer 2 device.I am using Local preference and AS-path prepend to manipulate traffic. Can you tell me how can I load balance my Forward and reverse traffic with BGP if I get new link from Service provider with different peering. HI,

Changing design is not possible .I am going to get 10Gig port.

Right now I have 7600-SIP-400 on 7600  ( with 4 slots) and going to get SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 ( this will be mounted in 7600-SIP-400 )

Can you tell me if I can use one  SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 in one slot and  one 5xGE SPA in another slot.

SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 some with module with single 10 Gig port and 5xGE SPA comes with 5 one-gig port
