Tell us a little about yourself.

I was a very different person before I started my first business. My thought of helping and empathizing with others is my priority nowadays, in addition to finding ways to improve my soft and hard skills, which are my professional priorities. Today I work to leave a legacy and be able to share the little I'm learning in the IT area.

I really like the sea and enjoying nature. I wish I had much time to travel, and I'm working hard to make that happen. I am cheerful and realistic about things. I am a Christian, and today, I am very talkative, and I like to learn new things related to my career.

Life is too short to waste time on banal things and fights. I try to succeed and help those who have fewer opportunities in the job market.

I would leave two phrases that I live by: "Willpower overcomes talent" and "Discipline overcomes Success."

Talk about your professional career.

I graduated in the "Computerized Systems Electronics" area today: Networks and Data Communication. Loaded from managing Network and Infrastructure Projects, focused on customer needs. I worked for five years for a NOC as a network analyst monitoring alerts generated by IT assets. In 2021, my professional profile changed to Data Center, and I had the opportunity to develop and implement solutions from scratch. I currently work in the Datacenter area and specialize in solutions such as Cisco ACI, DNAC, ISE, and WLC. I create self-taught content about multiple products and new and emerging technologies for the Cisco Communities in Portuguese and Spanish. Certifications: CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNA Routing and Switching, Cisco Certified Networking Professional -Enterprise, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation.

How did you start participating in the Cisco Community?

Everything was due to the need for more content in our language (Portuguese). I wrote an article in Spanish, where I met the community manager Gabriela, on 12/2021. Since that day, we've formed a lovely partnership. People come together for a purpose, and this partnership is based on the need to cooperate to achieve it. Knowledge is to pass on and not take it with me. It is gratifying to see other people fulfilling their dreams through support that I wish I had when I was young. Life is not easy, but we can make it enjoyable if we change some story.

What inspires you to create technical content?

I found my life project. We must leave a positive legacy and contribute to the development of new talents, and sharing my experiences and learnings can help inspire and guide the next generation of leaders.

How do you find the time?

I use all of my work’s “unexpected” situations to generate content. I document all the new implementations and troubleshooting.  This is how I apply this learning to pass on to all community members. Now that I have a new podcast project, I am not writing so much, and focusing more on video content.

I feel that we can reach more people, and I put the seed in the minds of colleagues to be part of the Community. With Gabriela’s collaboration, we  reached out to some professionals who have been sharing their knowledge and gaining recognition from the Cisco Community. That's my main goal: to always look for more technology enthusiasts.

You are very generous with your time. Why did you do that?

This last year I've dedicated myself to making our Portuguese Community grow, and we're going slowly, but we're still going.

I wouldn't call it generous, I'm grateful for the things that have come my way this last year, and I try to give other people the opportunity to experience this feeling too. I want to be an example and show that I can do it even at 40+ years old. Young people can go further!

Me and my group of friends who support my podcast, always try to relive the trajectory in the IT area with inspired stories that every guest that passes by leaves us.

Does your employer support your participation?

I work outsourced to a public agency as a Cisco partner. They supported me a lot to continue with the article writing initiative and with the podcast project. I've been talking a lot with the manager about it, and he encourages us to go further, I talk about our day-to-day activities at the company, and I always include him as part of every Cisco Community recognition, because without his support it wouldn’t be possible.
