Hello. I have two retired UCS C3160 servers, each with a single M3 server node. I'd like to try upgrading one of the servers to a C3260 by moving parts from one C3160 to the other.
That said, would it be possible for someone from Cisco to please answer the following questions before I get started?
1) Page E-2 of the PDF at the link below seems to imply a C3260 can run with two M3 nodes. Is that correct?
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/s/hw/S3260/installb/S3260/migration.pdf
2) If yes, would said server need two UCSC-S3260-SIOCs, rather than the single UCSC-S3160-SIOCs that came with the C3160s?
3) Are versions 01 and 02 of the UCSC-S3260-SIOC compatible with M3 server nodes?
4) Would the overall upgrade process be to upgrade one of the C3160s with an HUU meant for a C3160, install two UCSC-S3260-SIOCs, then update the server with an HUU meant for a C3260?
Thank you for your time.
