getfw - Error: Invalid HUU ISO image

Hi guys,

I´ve got an problem with the getfw tool to export the CIMC and BIOS Firmware.

Steps: (Linux)

- Download ISO from Cisco

- Mount ISO and get the getfw tool

- run as root -> ./getfw -s <path>ucs-c220m5-huu-4.1.1d.iso -d <path>

- get the error message -> "Error: Invalid HUU ISO image" (run as root!)

What I´ve tried:

- Other Computer (always Ubuntu)

- Other HUU ISO Image

Anyone got an idea?

Hi Philipp,

All you needed to do execute the ./getfw from a newer CIMC.iso version. For instance:

So for C220 M4, download first, for example, the 4.1(2k) iso file and extract it (you will be able to extract it, don't worry.  Once 4.1.2k.iso is extracted,  go under the it's folder GETFW  and execute the ./getfw pointing to the ucs-c220m4-huu-4.1.2b.iso or any other older .iso file. 

It works like a charm.
