IP phone no registered

Hello, 

Q1:

I have CUCM v11.0 and after I configure it, it kept saying Phone unregistered. 

Phone models are : 8865, 8851, 8811, 7821 and DX-70 phone. 

 

Q2: I had a backup and I am also not able to apply and restore it. 

 

Please assist me on this. what are the possible reasons and solution?

Was this registered before? These phones are they configured with extension ? if not configure the extensions.

 

 

What procedure your followed  for restore  ? Can you share the error which you received while restoring ?

It was was working fine till the server failed and i am reconfiguring it, now i am not able to register it, it says rejected.

Anything I missed?

Did you manage to restore the backup to the server? If not you would not have the required certificates on the server for the phones to trust it.

To successfully do the restore you need to have the exact same version on the server as on the backup, you also need to have the exact same name and IP address on the server as before you rebuild it.

As @Roger Kallberg mentioned, you can only restore to a new machine which has same IP and same version. Also you should know the security password.

 

Since you configured it as a new server,  you need to remove the old ITL/CTL files so that your phones can trust the new CUCM. Do a factory reset and try.
