hi guys,

i'm new to sd-wan and there is a trouble with my study

I know once vEdge onboarding at vSmart,vManage, the connection will be lose with vBond.

but when I check my control connection. there is a vBond with system ip 0.0.0.0 also the hello packet exchange in in progress.
i checked it show control connections detail -peer vBond

someone says it's disconnected(0.0.0.0). but if so why they still exchange hello packet??

thank you and kind regards.

why does the "show control connections" command still show vbond when dtls is enable?

If the max-control-connections is not honored, [v/c]Edge device keeps trying.
Default is 2. If you have only one vSmart in the lab set up, you can manually over-ride max-control==1
This way,[v/c]Edge device doesn't keep trying to form control w/ vBond.

HTH.

Hi Moonsg1124 -

If your question is why hellos are sent to vBond - it is to make sure the heartbeat is there with the vBond.
This is expected and is different from establishing and tearing down the DTLS connection.
