ADSL Annex A and Annex M

Hi

Does anyone know if ADSL Annex A routers can be upgraded to Annex M?

Specifically, I have a Cisco 1801/K9 router.

Annex M is supported starting with the special Cisco IOS Software Release 12.4(11)XJ. I think we can't change the chip set because Cisco 1800 is Fixed router
