how to open port 161 on Cisco Switches and ASA for BB Monitoring

Dear All,

I want to setup BB to monitor snmptraps with failure.

The BB log shows can't connect to all switch ports 161, and I even can't telnet to XXX_17f 161 for example.

My switches are Cisco C3550, C2950, ASA etc.

For an ASA, you need to set up the ASA to allow SNMP access from your BB server. In ASDM it's under "Configuration, Device Management, Management Access, SNMP".

For switches, snmp configuration lines should be checked to verify that there is no access list applied or if there is that it allows your server's IP.
