@balaji.bandi  I don't need to downgrade of cisco ios-xe version, I need to downgrade for rommon only

ref: Release Notes for Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches, Cisco IOS XE Bengaluru 17.6.x - Cisco

If you boot Cisco IOS XE Bengaluru 17.6.3 for the first time -->

ROM: IOS-XE ROMMON
BOOTLDR: System Bootstrap, Version 17.8.1r [FC5], RELEASE SOFTWARE (P)

but now I running as

ROM: IOS-XE ROMMON
BOOTLDR: System Bootstrap, Version 17.9.1r [FC4], RELEASE SOFTWARE (P)

can I check the status and version of Primary or Golden ROMMON by cli?

apologies, read wrong.

as per i know - you can not alone downgrade bootloader, you need to downgrade IOS XE code which has the bootloader.

can you post show version full from your device.

@balaji.bandi  I check on cisco and found

Automatic Boot Loader Upgrade

When you upgrade from the existing release on your switch to a later or newer release for the first time, the boot loader may be automatically upgraded, based on the hardware version of the switch. If the boot loader is automatically upgraded, it will take effect on the next reload. If you go back to the older release after this, the boot loader is not downgraded. The updated boot loader supports all previous releases.

Do you have recommended for downgrade IOS XE code which has the bootloader?

I shared show version of switch

@Leo Laohoo today I have to downgrade the switch to 16.02.05b but the ROMMON/micro-code is not downgraded, it uses the same previous version.

Can you post show version.

As per i know if the cisco ship with certain verison and Microcode, you can go lower the version for the hardware to support.

and it is not recommended to go lower version of code, which breaks switch functionalities. (only way raise TAC case and replace if you do so)
