R3 is advertising its loopbacks. R2 is advertising a summary route for the same loopbacks as a backup path in EIGRP AS 200,
R3 and R2 are on the left.
Now R8 and R5 are on the bottom. R8 is a stub. I want to reduce the size of R8's routing table. R5 gets both the component 172.16.x.x advertisements from R3 (through R4) and the 172.16.0.0/22 advertisement from R2 (through R4).
Now I want to summarize all of these towards R5 to minimize size of R5's routing table. I tried the ip summary-address eigrp command in R5's e0/0 interface, but R8 still gets the smaller routes.
Any tips?
