I'm facing an issue with my SPA 8800 (Firmware: 6.1.11(XU)) configuration in Mexico. I'm attempting to utilize one FXO port and direct all calls to a SIP trunk.
Here's my Dial Plan 8: (<:2010@192.168.5.2>S0)
The ATA is located in Mexico, connected to Telnor/Telmex, which transports voice/data over fiber and terminates at the customer with a modem converting SIP calls to analog. When I connect an analog phone to the modem's phone line port, I consistently receive caller ID. However, when I connect the Cisco SPA 8800 to the modem, caller ID rarely functions. Despite caller ID service is enabled and conducting tests with a known working phone, caller ID works only sporadically.
I've spent four days troubleshooting, and caller ID has only worked twice during this time. I managed to capture debug logs during these rare instances and would greatly appreciate assistance from someone with the expertise to interpret them and suggest any necessary settings adjustments to ensure consistent caller ID reception on the SPA 8800.
Considering the Mexico location, I've configured the following regional settings:
Tone Information (source: World Tone Database
- Busy tone: 425 Hz, 0.25 on 0.25 off
- Congestion tone: 425 Hz, 0.25 on 0.25 off
- Dial tone: 425 Hz, continuous
- Disconnect tone: [No information available]
For visibility, I've replaced the actual caller ID with 17601234567 in the debug logs below.
