Cisco Anyconnect-MAC issue

Hi Experts,

Have the below anyconnect package-MAC in ASA.

anyconnect-macosx-i386-2.5.2014-k9.pkg

The end user, is the Cisco VPN anyconnect client -

anyconnect-macos-4.5.05030-predeploy-k9

He is getting the attached error message, when trying to connect to ASA Remote access VPN. Looks like, the client version is not maching with the package on the ASA. Please suggest the supported client version to use, for the package existing on ASA.

Or else, please guide, what is causing the issue?

Thanks

Sreeraj

Hi Sreeraj,

The correct file would be anyconnect-macos-4.5.05030-webdeploy-k9.pkg which needs to be added on ASA. Then add this package under webvpn.

Sure, thanks for the prompt response, will do as suggested.

So, can u please advice, what is the difference between webdeploy.pkg and other .pkg file. Thanks

Hi,

Please see the attached screenshot. Hope this, is the way, i need to upload the same ?

Also, please advice, what is the difference between webdeploy.pkg and other .pkg file. Thanks

That would be the correct location.

Primarily, you have two types of packages:

Webdeploy - Deployed on the headend devices like ASA/ISE to either validate the Anyconnect client present on the endpoint or push the Anyconnect clients to the endpoints.

Predeploy - Deployed on the endpoint devices, where the Anyconnect clients are installed prior to communicating to the headend devices like ASA/ISE.

Thanks a lot, for the inputs provided.
