I am looking to buy a few POE 48 port switches and I have narrowed it down to either -
Cisco CBS250, Managed, L3, Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000), Power over Ethernet (PoE), Rack mounting, 1U CBS250-48P-4X-UK or Cisco Small Business SG220-50P, Managed, L2, Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000), Power over Ethernet (PoE) SG220-50P-K9-UK
The Cisco CBS250 seems to be a cheaper option and is L3. We are looking at running IP handsets on them along with the normal computer network. Is the CBS250 better value for money as its about £100 cheaper and looking at the specs appears to be a better choice or am I missing something?
TIA

So are the CBS250 just a newer version of the SG220's there are no draw backs that I should be aware of?

As noted all the SG range are now CBS. I would recomend that you check if you need any of the CBS350 features such as a DHCP server. For just a simple switch the 250 will be OK but the 350 has more features.

hello Everyone.
SG220 or newer CBS220 have a few features less than SG250 or newerCBS250. and SG/CBS350 got extra more features and this is obviously related to the pricing as well. so i suggest you check the feature matrix:
