I'm trying to get information regarding the power up and testing requirements for a few UCS 5108 Chassis and M3,M4, and M5 Blades I have on hand in my company's refurb shop. I've found dozens of videos demonstrating how to put the chassis in to a server rack, and connecting the power cables to the power supplies on the bottom of the chassis, read through all the documentation I can think to search for, but what I *cant* find is where they draw the power FROM. My primary concern is that we're set up in a warehouse, not a data center so we dont have the voltage smoothing or safeguards a data center would have and I dont want to risk damaging the blades or the other components as the company owners would like to refurbish and resell the blades and chassis if at all possible.
TLDR: is there a safe way for a non data center to power up UCS 5108 Chassis and M3,M4, and M5 blades for refurb and resale, what tests would need to be run on the blades to verify their future usability?
