Does anyone know if you can load the CSA agent on a ghost image and have it successfully register with the console everytime you use that image?

I used PowerQuest's image software and was able to roll out the client that way with no issues.

We use Sysprep and Deploycenter successfully.

what about the unique identifiers that CSA uses to register with the MC.

how does CSA remedy this?

I was incorrect, it does not register with a new host ID. We register CSA after image deployment. Sorry.

So what is the best practice in rolling out CSA with an image?

I haven't tried it, but you could install CSA and not let it register with the MC. Part of the process for creating individual host ID involves registration with the MC.

Hope this helps...

I believe we set up the CSA MC like normal. Set up the new PC template. Modified our CSA image set as desired. Downloaded the client from the CSA MC website and installed on PC. Ran sysprep. Imaged with DeployCenter. Rolled out to new workstations. Booted up and went through miniwizard. CSA polled.

Can't think of any more best practice information for the CSA, since it is basically a small agent for the centrally managing app.
