Greetings!

I'm bit confused with part numbers. Can you please guide me in choosing the rt one.

my requirement is i need 2 no's of ASA 5585 with IPS SSP-20, and would like to configure it in HA mode.'

When i went through the part numbers i saw the below 2 and bit confused between these two.

1. ASA5585-S20X-K9 - This part number says description like below

a, ASA 5585-X Chas with SSP20,8GE,2SFP+,2GE Mgt,2 AC,3DES/AES

When i checked the 2nd part number which is below

2. ASA5585-S20P20SK9 and this says description as

ASA 5585-X w/ SSP20,IPS SSP-20,16GE,10K VPN PR,1 AC,3DES/AES

i can see that there are 16 GE ports and rest im not able to make out, especially after W/SSP20, they have written IPS SSP-20 what doest it mean.

and another part number

3. ASA5585-S20P20-K9

the above part number says

ASA 5585-X Chas w/SSP20,IPS SSP20,16GE,4GE Mgt,1 AC,3DES/AES

Can any one really explain the diff between these 3 products, this will really help me to analyze the details. Will rate all the suggestions.

Hi Suraj,

The part numbers you are talking about are sales bundles.. Please check out this doc which towards the end, has a better description of each bundle. Those parts you are referring to is an IPS module and they also have licenses bundled in.
