Hello ,

is there any compatibility between the Firepower 4100 Firmware Upgrade Packages and FXOS version I need to check on it before upgrading,

and if should upgrade the Firmware packages before making an upgrade for FXOS , and what is the result if I do not make an upgrade for Firmware packages,

and why I need to make an upgrade for Firmware packages,

@a ali check the upgrade path for FXOS with FTD table - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/secure-firewall/upgrade/management-center/710/upgrade-fmc-710/upgrade-fxos.html

This will provide confirm the FXOS version to run with the FTD version on the 4100 hardware and indicate whether an upgrade to the FXOS is required.

what about the Firmware upgrade it should make upgrade for Firmware itself also or not

I mean upgrade for chassis Firmware, not FXOS, I know that there is Firmware packages and FXOS packages, if i not understand please clarify to me ,

@a ali on the 4100/9300 hardware FXOS is the chassis firmware which you upgrade independently of FTD software (refer to the links provided). You also then upgrade the FTD software.
