Removing endpoints from the AMP Console before removing AMP Connector

We have a client that has about 300 devices registered in the AMP console, and I need to remove about 175 of these devices that we migrated to Windows Defender, to satisfy the license seat count. My questions is, if I delete the devices from the console and the client has yet to delete AMP from the workstations, will the devices reregister with AMP and add the workstation back to the console?  Thanks for any assistance.

Hello @jtrai4911 ,
if you remove an endpoint entry from the Secure Endpoint management console the Connector software will automatically re-register. Deleting an endpoint entry from the Secure Endpoint management console does not remove the software from your Windows/macOS/Linux endpoint.
Greetings,
Thorsten

Thank you Thorsten, I assumed it would but needed to confirm for the client.

Yes... they'll reappear if the client checks in.
