Duo Prompts in multiple languages

Hi!  We have the occasional user tells us they receive prompts in other languages outside of their device default of English. We have one iPhone user who has no other languages installed, no keyboard/launcher apps, etc., and today after getting prompted in English was then prompted in German. They have received this occasionally in the past.  Any ideas what we can check to see what is causing the languages to switch on the fly?

Below was a push he ignored, then sent another a few minutes later.

Hi There,

This is what I could find on above issue. However, if the problem persists, I suggest reaching out to Duo Support.

  • Non-English-speaking individuals can easily use Duo Mobile as the enrollment process uses simple visual workflows and authentication is as easy as pressing a green button or typing in a passcode.

Note: You can configure your iOS or Android mobile device to support more than one language. In device language settings, Duo Mobile will use the first language in the list. Refer to this menu in your iOS or Android device:

  • iOS: General > Language & Region
  • Android: Settings > System > Languages & input > Languages

If you would like the app to use a particular language, make sure that that language is placed above any other compatible languages in your device's language settings screen.

Regards,

Pulkit
