Cisco Umbrella - Switches

Hi good day,
I have Umbrella functional through a 9300 switch connected to my Active Directory through AD Connector as well as Umbrella VA Appliance.

I currently have a 2960 switch connected to my 9300 via a trunk port. When I try to join a PC connected to the 2960 to my domain I cannot reach my domain controller. If I connect the PC to the 9300 switch, I can join the domain just fine.

What needs to be done on the 2960 for the PC to be able to join my domain?

Question: Does Umbrella have to be integrated on all switches or can my topology work (Umbrella on core and all other switches connected to it)?

Thank you

I don't think this has something to do with Umbrella. You might want to check your port configurations instead (2960).

To answer your second question, we have a select appliance that can be integrated with Umbrella DNS. This doc might be of a help:

Thanks Franzd.

I solved the issue by performing two changes:
1) Disable Umbrella on the Trunk port of the 9300 switch connecting to the 2960
2) On the 2960, point the name server address to the Umbrella VA address.

Now clients connected to the 2960 have no issues connecting to my local domain controller.
