Hi,
We've got a cisco 881 that we've been quite happy with, but the company has recently bought some chromebooks for home workers and these don't support the VPN w/xauth we have been using for the last couple of years.. so I've been tasked with reconfiguring the router to L2TP/IPSEC.
It looks straightforward according to many guides on this, but our router appears to be missing key comands in the virtual-template configuration. Every example has these lines (at least):
peer default ip address pool xxxx
ppp authentication ms-chap-v2
Our router doesn't have any of these commands (and others are missing such as 'encapsulation'). Trying to configure it without them fails.
Does this router support l2tp/ipsec at all? If not, what is the model of a cisco router that does? (there's currently no budget for this but if I present him with 'send the chromebooks back, or spend £something on a new router' at least I've covered all the bases).
