RD Gateway disconnected sessions


I understand there is now a work around for max active and idle sessions. Question I have is for disconnected sessions, if a user reconnects, do they have to authenticate for every reconnection?


Yes, that has been my experience. However, most of our users connect within their office so they’re not even using 2FA in this case. Only from outside of the office.

I wonder if this is something that could be added as configurable, especially as more and more people now work remotely?

Using the information in this article; https://help.duo.com/s/article/4319 is currently all we have as far as the configuration of these options goes. This is an unsupported solution (but is currently working for my clients at the time of writing).

For the time being anyone interested should add themselves to the feature request by contacting Duo support, your account executive (AE), or your customer success manager (CSM) if you are a Duo Care customer with a dedicated CSM.
