Device passwords a thing of the past?

Greetings… a few years back when I originally used DUO, there was a feature called “device passwords” for supporting non-MFA enabled apps. Has this feature been deprecated? If so -
how can I leverage a non-MFA enabled app when accessing a DUO-wrapped resource? (i.e. - using a non-MFA capable IMAP email client to access a DUO protected mail server)

My thanks in advance!

Cheers -
Brian

You might be thinking of some other service. Duo did not offer device passwords.

ETA: It could be that whatever you used Duo with offered application-specific passwords that you would use to configure that service on your device? I recall Duo customers doing this back around 2015 with Office 365 email before Microsoft extended support for modern authentication web logins to their mail clients.

Duo, not DUO.
