Bug fixes
New features, enhancements, and other improvements
Available in public preview: Policy for Duo’s self-service portal
- Administrators can now apply a separate policy to the self-service portal within the Duo Universal Prompt and Duo Central device management.
- To access the self-service portal policy in the Duo Admin Panel, select Policies in the left sidebar, and then select Self-Service Portal in the left sidebar under Policies. Self-service portal policies will be effective for both MFA and passwordless authentications. See how to enable self-service portal policies and recommended settings.
- Once the self-service portal policy is enabled, you can also view when users access the self-service portal in the Authentication Logs.
- This public preview is available in the Duo MFA, Access and Beyond editions.
New and updated applications
Two new named applications with Duo Single Sign-On (SSO)
- There are now named SAML applications to protect Amazon Web Services and CLI and SAP Concur using Duo SSO, our cloud identity provider.
- Reminder: Duo Access Gateway will reach end of life in October 2023. Please see the Guide to Duo Access Gateway end of life for more details.

Duo Unix version duo_unix-2.0.1 released
- The duo_unix_support script collects a few additional files for troubleshooting.
- Duo API calls now use SHA512 instead of SHA1 as the HMAC algorithm.

Bug fixes
* Fixed a bug with Duo Admin Panel that allowed administrators with the User Manager role to circumvent a disabled “Allow admins with User Manager role to put users in Bypass status” option through the Change User Status option on the main Users page.
- Fixed a bug with Duo Universal Prompt that required you to double-select Send a new passcode to SMS if you entered a partial passcode before making the selection.
- This bug fix also clears an incorrect passcode and resets the focus to the passcode field when you select Send a new passcode.
