Certificate as a 2nd Factor authentication for service accounts

We need to authenticate service accounts with a 2nd factor to protect API calls between SAAS providers.
Does duo offer any type of the certificate based authentication?
If not could this be submitted as an FRE?

We currently do not support certificate-based authentication. Please make sure you share this feature request with your Customer Success Manager if you have not already. Thanks!

Note: Duo does have a certificate-based attestation Trusted Endpoints feature for laptops and desktops, but it’s used to supplement, not replace, 2FA.
