Apple Watch (series 4) no longer able to authenticate

Setup:
Apple iPhone 11 running iOS 15.0.2
Apple Watch (Series 4) running WatchOS 8.1

With the latest updates, I can no longer authenticate from the watch app. I get the push notification on both devices, but clicking “Authenticate” on the watch does nothing. I must pick up the phone and authenticate from the mobile app.

Hi @PHoran, this is an issue the mobile team is actively investigating. We have not found a solution yet, but will keep the community posted. Sorry to hear you’re having this problem, and we hope to have a solution soon.
